Dying to Know Day is a national annual event held to create conversation and help break down barriers for discussion about end of life. – because everyone deserves to be heard. Every wish matters.
We will be holding an event in the main hospital foyer with tables with information, opportunity to register, open conversations, myth busting and more for the community and Northern Health staff.
Community members will have the opportunity to answer the question “What is important to you at end of life?” by writing their answer on paper leaves and placing on a large 2D tree that will be set up in the foyer
Department that will be attending and participating with information tables set up include:
- Advance Care Planning
- Organ and Tissue Donation
- Pastoral Care
- ALO and TALS team
- Community and in hospital palliative care teams
- Hospital without Walls
It would be terrific if you could promote the event to your teams, and encourage attendance.
