A bespoke Emergency Trauma Management (ETM) course will run at Northern Health on:

5th – 7th July 2024 at NCHER (there is a course fee)

The course is open to ICU / ED / surgery / orthopaedics and anaesthetics trainees / consultants in order to train as a realistic trauma team  –  Registrants should be PGY2 or above.

The ETM Course is a team based trauma course run over 3 full days.  The course has developed a strong reputation for having up-to-date, relevant and practical trauma content.   It includes:

1. Pre-course manual online access and pre-course online lectures
2. Short, focused lectures and case-based discussion sessions
3. Interactive skills workshops
4. Small-group interactive sessions
5. Simulation/scenarios
6. Expert instructors with firsthand Emergency Department trauma experience
7. Specific teaching on the modern, team-based approach to trauma

A number of instructors from both the Northern and The Royal Melbourne Hospital will provide both Northern Health specific policies and procedures as well general Victorian State Trauma System information.
