General Surgery – Upper GI and Endocrine (Unit 3)

​​Surgical term, involving day-to-day care of surgical patients on the ward under the direct supervision of the registrar.  
Ward based management of elective patients- endocrine and upper GI surgical cases and acute general surgical patients. Initial management of post take acute general surgical cases. Documentation of progress notes and discharge summaries. Involvement in theatre and clinic is encouraged where possible.​
