This occasion will also mark the official launch of the Victorian Centre for Virtual Health Research — a pioneering initiative that will position Victoria at the forefront of virtual health innovation, research, and implementation.

Professor Curley is an internationally recognised authority in digital health innovation, currently serving as Professor of Innovation and Director of the Digital Health Ecosystem at Maynooth University, Ireland. He formerly held the position of Chief Information Officer and Director of Digital Transformation at Ireland’s National Health Service (HSE), where he led award-winning public sector innovation initiatives. Professor Curley is the founder of the National Digital Academy, co-Director of Ireland’s National MSc in Digital Health Transformation, and Chair of the UNGA Digital Health Symposium. A former senior executive at Intel and Mastercard, he brings extensive global experience in driving healthcare transformation through digital innovation. In recognition of his contributions, he was named Irish National Digital Leader of the Year in 2024.
